We recommend getting in touch about your interests and your travel dates when you know you're coming to La Paz so we can put you on our radar and find the best options for your dates! We can finalize plans up to about a week before you arrive, but 1-3 weeks is ideal. We'll keep an eye on the weather right up until your reservation and advise having some flexibility so we can reschedule your experience if the weather doesn't play nice. 

@bajawildlifemex does specialize in customizable private experiences, and with only a few people the cost per person can be higher. But for groups of 4-8 people our per person cost falls in the middle of the price range you'll find with other tour operators who may have larger groups and less flexible and unique schedules and offerings. One way that we try and help with this is by asking clients if they are open to adding a couple more people to their group and opening up the spare spots in our calendar. This helps lower the cost for everyone and is fun way to meet cool new people!  

Sure! You can pay in MXN or USD, subject to our exchange rate at time of reservation.  We can only accept cash, transferencia (to Mexican account), and Venmo

We offer flexible cancellation policies for our experiences.  Most experiences can be cancelled outside of 7 days with no penalty, with the exception of Marlin trips and Blue Whale Loreto trips (see terms in quotation).

Cancellations inside the defined period are subject to forfeiture of deposit or partial deposit, and cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.

Cancellations on our end due to weather, acts of nature (i.e. closure of whale shark season, port closure), or mechanical issues will be 100% refunded. Specific terms will be included with your quotation.

Yes, we have experience organizing excursions and special marine science related activities for large groups and can include activities not listed here. Some groups we have worked with include university students, home schooled children, family reunions and other large celebratory trips. 

No, but we're happy to refer you to good dive companies in the area. We can take you out with one of our free diving guides, and will tailor the trip to your experience level.

No. Many experiences are designed for curious beginners and ocean lovers of all backgrounds.

Yes, all spots are paid places on the research vessel. This is one of the ways select organizations help fund their research projects. The places are coveted and not  as readily available so jump at the chance if it's in your budget and interests you!
